NEOCLASSICAL AND MINIMALISM: SEASON OPENING OF THE «MUSIC OF LIGHT. AWAKENING» PROJECT
In Moscow, the new season of the grand-scale project «Music of Light. Awakening» was solemnly opened — this time, the audience was treated to an immersive concert titled «Neoclassical and Minimalism» held in the legendary M.I. Rudomino Foreign Literature Library. The evening became a celebration for fans of modern neoclassical music, blending a unique experiment by artists and painters: the music came alive while, on stage in real time, an original painting by Ksenia Milovidova was created inspired by the evocative melodies.
The concert featured works by iconic composers — Ludovico Einaudi, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Alex Baranowski, Yiruma — as well as new pieces by Russian minimalists shaping the contemporary sound of the 21st century. Each musical detail of the evening’s performance became a vivid brushstroke in a large canvas where the arts of two worlds — musical and visual — intertwined closely.
